BlackSwan + makeup

I can’t wait to see this movie. I know it’s out, but only in select theatres. I love Natalie Portman. I think she’s an amazing actress; one of my favs. Yes, a ballerina movie, but with a sick twist I heard and seen from trailers. Thriller. Drama. Can’t wait….^^

As always, whenever something comes out in entertainment, there is bound to be a makeup tutorial video on Youtube. I watched a bunch of makeup guru’s on Youtube on their version of the Black Swan makeup. Decided to play around and do it myself too. :) I wish I had the wicked contacts. >:) Would have been sweet. I did the makeup twice. Most of my makeup is elsewhere, so I had to use what I had.

For both: I used my concealer all over to lighten my skin up. I set it with the lightest matte powder I had with me, which was a light beige eye shadow. I filled my waterline & tightlined with a red/burgundy lipliner since I didn’t have red contacts. And for the lips, I put on deep red liner & lipstick with black liner blended in the corners. For the white areas, I just used a shimmery white eyeliner with pigment powder over it. Little bit of pink blush.

Headband from GUESS.

FIRST: I was just doing it with the image in my head. I didn’t like the shape. I used just a black kohl pencil eyeliner to draw the shape. Obviously didn’t come clean and sharp.

SECOND: At first I wasn’t going to do it again, until I saw the first images at full view. Lol. This time, I outlined the shape with a gray kohl pencil, then used a gel liner & brush over it and to draw the feather texture. I also decided to throw in some shimmery forest green. I just got that eyeliner from Victoria Secret. Such a beautiful color. Smudge proof too. Anyway to the second look, I added the green, a rusty red shadow under the inner points (which I used my burgundy lipliner with a bit of brown & pink shadow blended with it), and went heavier with the blushing.

I totally wouldn’t wear this out, unless I was going to a costume party. Maybe I’ll do this for next Halloween.

I talk too much, ya?
