MonaLisa

Yes, another vexel. :) This is a friend of mine. I wish I had her hair! So pretty.
Not only do I like playing with makeup in real life…I like doing it in photoshop too. So I did this vexel in two versions.

More glamourous one:

Original (I don’t own this):

Here’s the progression:

Right when I was about to blog about this, I realized I forgot her beauty mark. I had already shut down photoshop, saved the images, and uploaded them to a host. How annoying. I hate having to open up photoshop again (or on accident). Anyways, thats why there’s no beauty mark in the animated pic.

This one took me hella long to do. Mainly because of all that hair she has. I did this one for about three days on and off. First day, I did the base, the nose, and brows. Second day, the eyes and lips. The third day, the hair, shirt, and background. I took the longest on the hair. I’m guessing a total of 24 hours. I don’t know how people claim to do detailed vexels in 4-5 hours.

I hate how saving images (and gifs) for the web is such a disappointment. The coloring of these images are so off. Saturated. If ya know what settings are the best, please tell me. I use Adobe Photoshop CS4.
Is it even the program itself? Or is it my Mac, your Windows, Chrome, IE, and Firefox? Ughh…I just suck.

Don’t bother asking me to do one of you unless you’re gonna pay me. :) I don’t think alot of people know how much work is put into one of these. That’s why I like showing the progression.
I do these as a hobby. I usually just browse through family and friends’ pictures on fb, save some that I like (those I don’t think that would mind :X), and turn them into vexels.

Yawn. So tired. Been up all thru the night and morning. Graphic designing = insomnia for me.
